¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ delivers on jobs promise for its graduates – new figures confirm

Training future-ready leaders and thinkers who go on to make an impact in their chosen field is a key priority for the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ – and the latest independent Graduate Outcomes Survey shows that it is delivering on this commitment.

The survey, published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), collects data from nearly 400,000 graduates across the UK, measuring what they are doing 15 months after graduation. This year’s results show that 81.35 per cent of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ graduates go into ‘highly skilled’ employment, as defined by the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system, placing ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ 13th in the UK*, and second only to the University of Oxford in the South East of England*. ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ is a consistent high performer in Graduate Outcomes, now delivering a top-15 performance every year for the last five years.

The survey also found that 94.3 per cent of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ graduates are in employment or further study.

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½â€™s outcomes compare favourably with sector averages, and the latest, separate, Longitudinal Education Outcomes (LEO) data shows that 91.8 per cent of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ graduates are in work or further study five years after graduation, above the averages for comparable universities and Russell Group institutions.

* UK domiciled graduates of full-time, undergraduate qualifications, in full-time employment, from higher education institutions tracked by the Guardian Newspaper, when data published in the latest Graduate Outcomes Survey is analysed and used to create a ranking.
