¿Û¿Û´«Ã½'s ranking rise reflects commitment to teaching and research excellence

Significant improvements to teaching and research have helped the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ climb in this year's .  

The influential league table has moved ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ up to 233rd place internationally and 26th in the UK. The Rankings assess more than 2,000 universities worldwide from 115 countries and territories. 

The rise, internationally and domestically, was driven by the University's improvements in the Ranking's "Teaching" and "Research Quality" indicators. The Rankings judge research-intensive universities across their core missions of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. 

The Times Higher World University Rankings news follows a run of recent positive league table news for ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. It climbed to 19th in the Guardian University Guide and was named one of the "three rising stars" in the sector. In the Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide, ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ ranked 21st and was the runner-up for Student Experience University of the Year. The Daily Mail's University Guide placed ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ 18th overall, praising its student experience (5th nationally) and graduate salaries (12th nationally). Additionally, the University has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education's University of the Year award, with results due in November.
