My research project
Relationships between loneliness and soundscapes in urban greenspacesMy PhD research, funded through the SEDarc Doctoral Training Partnership, will explore the potential impact of different soundscapes heard in urban areas on feelings of loneliness and other related psychosocial outcomes (e.g. social interaction, social isolation, feelings of belonging). The research will combine both quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection and analysis in hopes to better understand how urban areas can be designed to be more conducive to health and wellbeing.
