Research on performance assessment of students learning English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in Chinese universitiesThe study is proposed to illustrate the necessities and possibilities of applying performance assessment into ESP courses in China and further design a model of performance assessment to improve the achievement of students studying ESP in Chinese universities. Therefore, it is carried out to answer the four research questions below:
1)What is the essence of performance assessment of students learning ESP in Chinese universities?
2)Why do ESP learners in Chinese universities need performance assessment?
3)How can performance assessment of students learning ESP in Chinese universities be designed?
4)How can performance assessment be applied to promote the studies of students learning ESP in Chinese universities?
