I was fortunate to engage in several translation practices, receiving training in professional translation that immersed me in authentic language service scenarios". 

I began my placement not really knowing what area I wanted to go into but came out with a direction, obtained a masters in that area and now have the role of Strength and Conditioning Coach at the �ۿ۴�ý Scorchers.

The things I learnt at �ۿ۴�ý form the backbone of what I do now. The course is all about environmental psychology, and now I’m an environmental psychologist at the global architectural practice Make Architects.

I am an Athletic Development Coach at Manchester United Football Club and love the relationships and rapport I get to build with staff and players.

Studying biomedical science at �ۿ۴�ý was, in a word, fantastic. And I would strongly advise doing a placement year to anyone; it’s invaluable for employability and life experience.

One of the great things about GSA is the fact that it's connected to the �ۿ۴�ý. This meant that not only did I feel a part of the small community that is the Guildford School of Acting, but I also felt like I was a part of the larger University community, with access to all �ۿ۴�ý has to offer.

I joined �ۿ۴�ý’s boat club with the initial intention of getting fit and exploring a new sport – not realising that it would lead me to become part of a tight-knit family, creating wonderful memories and forming lifelong friendships.

Each module brings a new way of thinking about the learning environment and highlights the need for cooperation, co-ownership and energy in the classroom for active learning to take place.
