Research vision
The ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Institute for People-Centred AI brings together world-leading expertise in fundamental AI theory with cross-University domain expertise to shape AI impact for public good.
A cohesive pan-University research agenda draws on the excellence and scale of research across the University. This provides a unique focus on people-centred AI, establishing national leadership and creating a nurturing ecosystem to redefine the future of artificial intelligence with people at its heart.
This distinctive approach underpins our excellent collaboration with industry, public sector, government and other relevant institutions, enabling the co-creation of innovative ideas and approaches to foster new research directions.

PAI is a thriving multi-disciplinary network of researchers across the University spanning fundamental AI theory through to applications in health, nutrition, language, security, education, entertainment, finance, business, law, ethics, understanding and regulation of AI and autonomous decision-making systems.
