The Library is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, during semester weeks, and 8am-midnight during the winter and summer vacations.

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½or information

The Library is open to members of the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½, visitors and alumni, with no need to book a seat in advance of your visit.

Sixth Form/FE college students membership requests will not be processed at weekends, during University closure days (2nd April, 7th and 8th April) or Bank Holidays (3rd April, 6th April, 4th May and 25th May)

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½or access to the Library is restricted during the above exam period due to pressure on study spaces for our students. During this time we are unable to admit any visitors wishing to use our study spaces. Normal access will resume after these dates.  

To request a Library ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½or Pass, please fill in the  (unavailable during exam restrictions), then bring your confirmation email and a piece of valid photo ID with you to the Library on your first visit. Please ensure you read and follow our regulations and code of conduct when visiting the library.

Accessibility guide

We have partnered with AccessAble to develop to help you get to and around our buildings more easily.

Under 16s

Children under the age of 16 may only visit the Library with an adult, who must accompany them at all times and be responsible for their safety and behaviour.

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ors under the age of 18 are not to bring children (under 16) into the Library.

How to get here

The ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Library is based at our Stag Hill campus in Guildford. You can get to us by train or car, find out more about travelling to the University.

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ors have access to all hard copy resources within the Library. Please use  to see what we have available in the Library.

You are welcome to use our individual and group study areas.

There are no printing facilities for visitors.
